Stephen Pearce began his apprenticeship under his father Philip Pearce in 1962, when he helped develop the Shanagarry range of earthenware. Today that striking and distinctive black and white design is recognised around the world and demand for it has increased consistently over the years since it was first produced. Along with his small group of talented local craftspeopl, they make the world famous Stephen Pearce ranges of pottery in Shanagarry, East Cork on the edge of Ballycotton bay. The Skilled potters, the natural clay and the fresh water that together go to create each piece of Stephen Pearce Pottery are all sourced locally. Stephen Pearce Pottery is 100% Irish and organic.
